Here’s a prototype of the full end to end process of the inspection.

The Problem

Inspection requests from Construction Managers were handled via text, spreadsheets, and memory

✔ There were no intuitive way to track what was ready for inspections

  • Major communication gaps between trades

What’s at stake?

✔ Field teams frustrated; didn’t know what to schedule

✔ Trade partners confused about timelines

✔ Inspectors showing up to unready sites

✔ Real financial impact from missed milestones

Design Process

✔ Mapped pain points by shadowing superintendents and trades during inspection workflows

✔ Created user flows for milestone-based scheduling aligned to project build stages

✔ Conducted stakeholder reviews to validate needs and refine concepts

✔ Designed flows for scheduling, automatic status updates, and result logging

✔ Integrated support for photo uploads and AI-assisted red tag documentation

The Solution

✔ Designed a milestone-based inspection scheduler

✔ Let superintendents:

  • See what was eligible for inspection

  • Request inspections in-app

  • Log pass/fail outcomes with photos

✔ Introduced AI-powered red tag summary tool (that auto-generates ticket language)

Our Designs

Inspection scheduling entry point.

Using date picker to choose inspection date.

Entering result entry point & green tagging.

Red tagging inspection process.
